Chilling with the DOD and My Hunny
Our next stop was to continue walking towards S. Grand and to our now favorite bakery/cafe/art shop - Sweet Art. The DOD love going there (and I do too). It's a comfy place that's truly kid friendly, which is a plus for us cuz you know we have a whole tribe. Not to mention the baked goodies are the BEST. They also have actual food that's yummy as well. And still more, you can enjoy great original art pieces that hang on the walls that are actually for sale. What more can you ask for? I'd eat there everyday if they were open 7 days a week and if Mr. Richardson wouldn't protest to all the cupcakes and cookies I was cramming into my mouth. *chuckle*
After chasing the lovely ladies around the bake shop and filling up on treats it was time to continue our journey. Of course by then my old azz legs had rested and didn't feel like walking again but I kinda didn't have a choice. Thus we set off back in the direction of our home. We were suppose to stop back by the play structure so that the girls could slide some more but my azz was starting to feel that walking we'd done plus Asaria had fallen asleep in the stroller. So I didn't want to break the stride and stop and chance her waking up. Not to mention Ms. Ayana had fallen asleep as well - as long as we kept it moving. So we took the long way home and Amira and Aaliyah had fun running ahead to the end of each block and talking to just about every person we passed on the street.
Next, we realized we needed a few things from local health store The Natural Way or rather Mr. Richardson needed some more GT's Kombucha tea (which are only 2 for $5 at that store). We got some smashable fruit for the DOD, a few vegan snacks and called it a day. By then ALL of the girls were asleep in the car so we felt like we'd done our duty as parents by walking, running, playing them until they were nice and tired. Of course that only lasted as long as they were confined to their car seats and the car was moving. Cuz as soon as we pulled into the garage some sort of internal alarm must of have gone off and all 4 of the girls popped up as tho they'd never been to sleep. Amira was actually surprised that we were "still in the garage" as she stated and asked why we hadn't left yet. LOL. We were like, girlfriend you missed it. We've gone and come back already. *chuckle* Nothing like running your children around outside and then taking a nice car ride. Put them to sleep every time.
To top off a lovely week-end with my favorite folks in the whole land, my Hunny worked from home today! I woke up this morning to find that the Mister was still home. So to the delight of myself and the DOD it was a sweet end to an already wonderful week-end. Now I only have 4 days left until it's time to do it all over again
